ATNO #323 Bouvet Island

Bouvet Island is an uninhabited subantarctic volcanic island and dependency of Norway. A protected nature reserve situated in the South Atlantic Ocean at the southern end of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, it is the world’s most remote island. Located north of 60°S latitude, Bouvet Island is not part of the southern region covered by the Antarctic Treaty System.

It has an area of 49 km2 (19 sq mi), 93 percent of which is covered by a glacier. The center of the island is the ice-filled crater of an inactive volcano

I was able to to work Bouvet at 3/8/26 23:11z on 40M FT8 with my OCF dipole. On 3/9/26 13:00z I was lucky enough to catch them with only ~4 calls on 12M FT8 with my hex beam. I received an RR73 in both cases. After 2 days I confirmed I’m in their log to Clublog.

OQRS has opened (3/17/26) for 3Y0K at M0OXO QSL Manager. I now have LOTW confirmation and await a QSL card.
