The most rewarding activity that any ham can engage in is introducing youngsters to ham radio and electronic technology. I am blessed with the opportunity of supporting the Schofield Middle School Ham Radio Club. Each Thursday after school several members of the North Augusta Belvedere Radio Club introduce middle school students to ham radio.
As well as operating and participating in the semi-annual School Club Roundup contest,
the students enjoy fox hunting, building small projects to learn soldering and component identification.
Snap Circuits is always a fun activity which we augment by discussing circuit operation and measuring voltages with multimeters.
